A state of emergency has been declared in California, USA, following the outbreak of wildfires in the north of the state.
The governor of California, JERRY BROWN made the declaration as thousands of people are forced to abandon their homes in the worst affected areas. A report says some buildings have been destroyed in the Napa and Lake Counties, while hundreds of others are facing threats.
