Ministers urge Buhari to appoint one of them as Chief of Staff

 

According to the Nation, some of the ministers are already reaching out to key strategists and advisors to President Buhari on why one of them should be in charge of his schedules.

 

 

 

But reports say the President is waiting for the mourning period for the late Abba Kyari to be over before making his mind known on the next CoS.

 

 

 

A source said the ministers are rooting for one of them as Chief of Staff because of what they term as better synergy arguing that the a cabinet candidate would be able to fast-track decision-making on issues.

 

 

 

Some of the favored cabinet members are; Minister of Education Adamu Adamu; who appears to be the closest the President; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Minister of Water Resources Suleiman Adamu; Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties, Ya’u Shehu Darazo.

 

 

 

Others are the Attorney General of the Federation,  Abubakar Malami, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farouq; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; and Minister of Works and Housing,  Babatunde Raji Fashola, among others.
