Panic Hit Schools in Port Harcourt over Nigerian Army Medical Outreachw

Reports from different parts of the Rivers State capital indicate that school children were seen rushing to return home due to rumours about the medical outreach.
GIFT NWARU called our News Desk from Rumualogu in Akpor axis of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area to inform about the development.
Our source however said the community has not received any information from the Nigerian Army to extend its medical programme to the area.
Also worried is the Paramount Ruler of Akpor, Eze ANELE ORLU ORIEBE who confirmed receiving several complaints, and is now calling on the authorities to intervene to halt the commotion.
Our correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA reports that students of both government and private schools located on the East-West Road have all gone home due to the rumour.
Similar reports have also been received from Aluu in Ikwerre Local Government Area and Diobu axis of Port Harcourt City Local Government.
There were also some schools where frantic parents who turned up to retrieve their children were locked out at the gate by the management.
At the Rumuolumeni Community Primary and Nursery School, agitated parents managed to force themselves through the gate, which sent the pupils running in all directions.
In the midst of the confusion, some parents were unable to find their children, and the head teachers want the parents to be held responsible for any missing child.
