The leader of the autonomous region CARLES PUIGDEMONT made this known to the BBC in his first post-independence referendum interview.
PUIGDEMONT said his government would act at the end of this week or the beginning of next week.
However, King FELIPE VI of Spain has criticized the Catalan leaders for putting themselves outside the law in organizing the referendum.
The monarch said the situation in Spain was extremely serious, and called for unity among the people.
