Efcc takes over NIA bank accounts.

The move is part of ongoing investigation into the sum of thirteen billion naira in both local and foreign currencies that was recovered from a luxury apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The EFCC had on Friday last invited the Director of Finance and Administration of the NIA, who was then ordered to hand over details of the bank accounts to an army officer attached to the Office of the National Security Adviser.

It also mandated an Army Brigadier General to assume the responsibility of the NIA Director of Finance and to conduct an audit of the agency’s finances.
