Brexit : EU President to Issue guidelines on negotiation following UK’s departure.

The proposals to be put forward by the European Council will be sent to the governments of twenty-seven EU members.

The move would help set the tone for two years of tough negotiations and efforts to finalise a deal.

EU leaders want the UK to first agree with its exit terms before talks can move on to future ties. But the UK authorities are calling for simultaneous talks.

You will recall that British Prime Minister THERESA MAY formally triggered the Brexit process on Wednesday, by sending the Article 50 notification to the President of the European Council.
