To actualize the objective; the stakeholders want youths in the Niger Delta to be given the right training on modern ways of small scale refining crude oil.
The call was made at a conference in Port Harcourt, which discussed the positive implications of legalizing artisanal refining in Nigeria.
In his presentation, Professor BEN NAANE said artisanal refineries could generate up to ten billion dollars investments in the Niger Delta.
Professor NAANE is of the view that the Niger Delta region would become more economically viable and free from the problem of youth restiveness if artisanal refineries are modified and given legal status.
