The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral IBOK-ETTE IBAS has promised to make the welfare of his officers top priority. The naval chief said this at the presidential commissioning of the 2015 Special Duty Commission Cadets at the Nigerian Naval College held at Onne in Rivers State. Vice Admiral IBOK-ETTE IBAS told the audience at  the passing out parade that it was necessary to improve the welfare of naval officers, stressing that the navy was looking towards buying more equipment to boost its efficiency. Correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that the Chief of Naval Staff urged the new crop of officers to adopt the trend of change in the country.
