The Chief Accountant in office of the Special Adviser in the Bayelsa Treasury, Account and Revenue, DAVID ALA-PETER disclosed this to newsmen in Yenegua the Bayelsa State Capital.
ALA-PETER said the ghost workers were identified in the recent staff verification exercise, where more than fifty thousand workers participated.
He noted that the exercise was aimed at identifying fake names to reduce the state’s wage bill.
ALA-PETER said software of international standard was responsible for the success recorded during the exercise.
