GAMBO is accused alongside the Deputy Director of Finance, SHARIF ABDULRAHMAN and the Assistant Director of Finance, RILWANU LAWAL.
The nine-count charge was filed on behalf of the Federal Government by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, ABUBAKAR MALAMI.
The charges are in connection to alleged diversion of two point two billion naira belonging to the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
According to reports citing court papers dated 3rd November, the charges were filed under the Administration of Criminal Justice Act of 2015.
The accused persons are alleged to have diverted two point two billion naira belonging to the Supreme Court of Nigeria into their personal bank accounts.
The officials are also accused of accepting financial gratification to the tune of ten million naira from a private contractor to the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
