JAMB Ranks UniIlorin as best University.

The Kwara State-based institution leads sixteen other universities in the category based on an assessment done by Economic Confidential.

The assessment is based on data obtained from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, which covers admissions into Federal, State and Private Universities in 2016.

The information released by JAMB shows that the University of Ilorin has the highest applicants of one hundred and three thousand, two hundred and thirty-eight students.

Based on its analysis, Economic Confidential gathered that applicants seeking for admission into universities considered academic stability, popularity, affordability, available facilities and quality of lecturers as part of their check-list before making choices in their applications.

The second most preferred choice, according to the report, is the University of Benin, followed by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Bayero University, Kano.
