Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in Bissau ahead of Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Guinea-Bissau.
The team, led by head coach Éric Chelle, arrived at the Osvaldo Vieira International Airport on Sunday evening after departing Uyo.
The Super Eagles will face the Djurtus on Tuesday, September 29, at the Estadio 24 de Setembro in their second Group L qualifying fixture.
Nigeria opened its qualifying campaign with a 2-1 comeback victory over Madagascar in Uyo. Debutants George Ilenikhena and Moses Usor scored for the Super Eagles after Madagascar had taken an early lead.
Guinea-Bissau also started its campaign with a victory, defeating Tanzania 2-0 away from home, with Franculino and Mama Balde scoring the goals.
The Super Eagles are expected to continue preparations in Bissau ahead of Tuesday’s encounter, which is scheduled for 5pm Nigerian time.
