At least six people have been killed following fresh Ukrainian strikes on Russian-occupied territory and a village near the Russian border, as civilian casualties continue to rise in the more than four-year war.
Authorities also reported that a Russian attack on a residential building in Ukraine’s Kharkiv claimed the life of one person.
The latest attacks came a day after 20 people were killed on both sides of the frontline, with Kyiv and Moscow intensifying cross-border strikes.
The escalation comes as diplomatic efforts to end the conflict, which began with Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, remain at a standstill.
