The South-South chapter of NYSC also commended the minister of Youth and sports, SOLOMON DALUNG for his intervention into leadership crisis of the youth body adding that it prevented the break-down of law and order across Nigeria.
In a communique read by the Bayelsa State Chairman of NYCN, EKISAH SINKUM at the end of a meeting in Port Harcourt, the NYCN also commended the Chairman and the Secretary NYCN Board of Trustees for their efforts in resolving the prolonged crisis of the NYCN.
The youth body also called on the Niger Delta agitators to embrace dialogue and allow peace and development to thrive in the region and Nigeria at large.
Meanwhile, the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports has announced the official postponement of the planned Unity Congress of National Youth Council of Nigeria.
The congress which was slated to hold august 27th 2016 was postponed indefinitely by the Permanent secretary of the Ministry, OHAA CHINYEAKA in Abuja after a stakeholder meeting between the leadership of the NYCN and Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
