President Bola Tinubu has called on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to disregard distractions from busybodies and naysayers and to remain focused on his core mandate to transform Nigeria’s capital city.
The President made this appeal during the inauguration of the newly rehabilitated and refurbished International Conference Centre in Abuja, which has been renamed in Tinubu’s honour as the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Addressing guests and stakeholders at the event, President Tinubu emphasized that the refurbishment is a testament to his administration’s commitment to change the way things are done in Nigeria. He described the project as part of a broader effort to promote a nation characterized by quality, character, determination, and great spirit.
“This renovated conference centre signifies our resolve to build a Nigeria that reflects our collective aspirations for progress and excellence,” Tinubu said. “Let us all stay focused on our respective mandates and work tirelessly to achieve the transformation our nation deserves.”
The renaming of the centre to bear Tinubu’s name underscores the administration’s emphasis on legacy and progress as Nigeria continues its journey towards national development.
