Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has threatened legal action against Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over alleged exposure of his personal data from the INEC voter registration portal.
He described the alleged action as a violation of privacy and political misconduct.
Meanwhile, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar warned that alleged unauthorised access to the INEC Continuous Voter Registration database poses a threat to the credibility of the 2027 elections.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it has begun investigation into the matter, insisting there was no external hacking, but that access was through authorised credentials used improperly.
