Department of State Security has arraigned Secretary to the Rivers state government, KENNETH KOBANI and a candidate of the All Progressive Congress for Ikwerre state constituency AZUBUIKE WANJOKU before a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt.The DSS had dragged the two respondents to the High court over alleged misconducts during the last rerun elections in the state which they alleged constituted threats to public peace. The SSG, pleaded not guilty to the three count charges of conspiracy and breach of peace against him. On his part, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress for Ikwerre state constituency AZUBUIKE WANJOKU also pleaded not guilty to charges of disrupting public order and security, obstruction of public officer and as well as threaten to forcefully demand refund of the said money from the INEC officer.
Trial Judge, Justice MOHAMMAD LIMAN granted bail to both men.Our correspondent reports that the matter was adjourned till June 15 for hearing.
