Okocha, in an interview with Today FM said the NDDC acted on a Save Our Soul message from the people of Soku to the commission.
He said the Rivers State government is the one playing politics with the lives of the people.
Okocha challenged the Rivers State Commissioner for Health, Doctor Adaeze Oreh, to go to Soku community to stop the medical intervention by the NDDC.
The state NDDC rep accused the state government of lying about the cholera outbreak in Soku community.
Okocha further said the state government should have asked for collaboration with the NDDC to curb the situation in Soku rather than publicly condemn the noble act of the commission.
The Rivers State Government had yesterday, dismissed reports of an outbreak of cholera in Soku community in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of the state, as well as casualties as a result of the outbreak.
