General Ibrahim noted that, the MN-JTF serves as a regional unifying force to tackle the menace of Boko Haram and ISWAP insurgents, describing it as a unique military outfit.
General Ibrahim who was speaking while playing host to a joint delegation from the French Military Intelligence led by Vice Admiral Denis Betrand and another from United States Africa Command led by Brigadier General Rose Keravuori, at the Headquarters, in N’Djamena Chad, traced the immediate and remote causes of the Boko Haram terrorism in the Lake Chad region, which eventually necessitated the re-operationalization of the Force in 2015.
He also urged the strategic partners to explore more ways of supporting the MN-JTF to surmount some difficulties in its efforts to achieve its mandates.
