Speaking at a joint press conference during the visit of the Turkish leader in Abuja, the President said his Turkish counterpart has set an example to the rest of the world on how to treat refugees.
According to the president, the two-day visit of Erdogan and the First Lady, Emine Erdogan, is a reflection of the cordial bilateral relation between Nigeria and Turkey.
In his remarks, President Erdogan said Turkey is ready to improve relations with Nigeria, adding that the trade volume between both countries reached two billion dollars in 2020, making Nigeria the outstanding and the biggest trading partner in sub-Saharan Africa.
The president held talks on some bilateral issues, including Series of Bilateral Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding that had been finalised.
