West Ham May Sell Players Amid £104.2m Financial Loss

West Ham United have said they may need to sell players during the summer transfer window even if the club manages to avoid relegation from the English Premier League.

The club disclosed that it recorded a loss of £104.2 million in the last financial year, a sharp reversal from the £57.2 million profit reported in the 2023–2024 season.

According to financial figures released by the club, turnover dropped by £42.1 million to £227.6 million. West Ham attributed the decline to a lower league finish, fewer televised matches, absence of European competition, and reduced income from player transfers.

The club stated that restructuring may be necessary to improve financial stability, adding that player sales could form part of its strategy ahead of the new season.
