Violence continues in the Burundian capital, Bujumbura, with reports of explosions.
Police confirmed that three people were injured in three explosions, including the blasts of mortar shells near Bujumbura mayor’s office in the central business district. At least two persons were killed over the New Year holiday; including a popular musician PASCAL TRESOR NSHIMIRIMANA whose body was recovered he was arrested by the police.
