Traders operating around the Mile One Flyover in Port Harcourt have engaged in physical confrontation with members of a taskforce deployed by authorities of the Port Harcourt City Local Government Council.
Our correspondent gathered that trouble started when the taskforce operative moved in to impound the goods of traders who had encroached on walkways.Some of the traders who spoke with correspondent LEVI ISU said selling by the road side is their only hope of survival.
They called on Governor NYESOM WIKE to prevail on the taskforce to stop harassing them, as they vowed to continue to resist the clampdown on them.
