Recall that Rivers State Government through the permanent secretary in the ministry of Culture and Tourism, MICHAEL EJIOHUO had in a statement directed that all entertainment and hospitality sectors must obtain permission from the state government before embarking on any programme in the state.
Reacting to the statement, the Rivers State chairman of Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria, EUGENE NWAUZI described the statement as a welcome development.
NWAUZI said the new condition would help regulate the activities of tourism sector which he said would also bring development in the state.
NWAUZI in his new year message, urged the federal government to call the electricity regulatory commission to order which he said will bring sanity in the electricity sector.
