President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sacked the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, and appointed Taiwo Oyedele as his replacement.
The decision is part of a cabinet reshuffle aimed at strengthening economic management and improving policy coordination within the Federal Government.
Taiwo Oyedele, who previously served as Minister of State for Finance, has now been elevated to take over the finance portfolio.
The reshuffle also affected the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, with Ahmed Musa Dangiwa exiting the Federal Executive Council.
Wale Edun has been directed to hand over to his successor with immediate effect.
