In its latest report on the review of activities of the Islamist terrorist group, the UN noted that one in five suicide attacks by Boko Haram are now carried out done by children.It also disclosed that girls, who are often drugged, were behind three-quarters of such attacks committed by Boko Haram in Cameroon, Nigeria and Chad.The report noted that the change in tactics reflects the loss of territory in Nigeria by the group.
According to the report, Cameroon has the highest number of child suicide attacks, involving children who are as young as eight.
The United Nations is reporting an increase in the use of child bombers by the Boko Haram terrorist group operating from Nigeria.
