The Speaker of Parliament in Somalia has dropped impeachment motion against President SHEIKH MOHAMUD. The lawmakers accused the president of abuse of office and betrayal of the country, which threatened to plunge Somalia into deeper crisis, in addition to over twenty years of Islamist insurgency. However; the Speaker, MOHAMED SHEIKH OSMAN JAWARI said a meeting would be held on 7th October to try to resolve the issues raised in the motion.
