The Senate will announce the names on the second batch of Ministerial list today.
The Senate received the second list of ministerial nominees from President MUHAMMADU BUHARI.
Senate President BUKOLA SARAKI confirmed receiving the list of second batch of incoming members of the Federal Executive Council.
The Chief of Staff to the President, ABBA KYARI and the Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator ITA ENANG sent the list containing fifteen names.
Meanwhile; the screening of the first set of twenty-one ministerial nominees is expected to begin today.
The Nigerian Senate is also looking to open the screening of the incoming members of the Federal Executive Council for public participation.
The Senate has therefore called for members of the public to join the process by sending questions for the nominees through the Senate’s Twitter handle @NGRSenate using the hashtag #MinisterialScreening.
There are also indications that the Senate may not follow strictly to its rule for screening of ministerial nominees, which requires the endorsement of at least two senators from the state of each nominee.
