The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of five suspected criminals and the recovery of dangerous weapons around Ubima in Ikwerre Local Government Area.

The Police Public Relations Officer, AHMAD MUHAMMAD said the suspects were arrested after a string operation at pipeline in Ubima around 5AM today.
MUHAMMAD identified the suspects as OKACHI ISAIAH, BENJAMIN OHAHURU, ENYELE EZE, ORAKWU INNOCENT and IBUCHI WOULD, who are between thirty-two and forty-five years of age.He said exhibits recovered from them include two AK 47 rifle, one pump action gun, one Bereta pistol, nineteen rounds of assorted live ammunition, three magazines and eight cartridges. The Command spokesman said preliminary investigation indicates that the suspects are members of a gang that is responsible to series of armed robberies and kidnappings around Ubima and environs.
