The prosecution of former governor of Adamawa State, MURTALA NYAKO for alleged corruption by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has resumed.

 

The prosecution of former governor of Adamawa State, MURTALA NYAKO for alleged corruption by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has resumed.The former governor is standing trial along with his son Senator ABDUL-AZIZ NYAKO, as well as ABUBAKAR ALIYU and ZULKIFIKK ABBA.
All four accused persons are facing a thirty-seven-count charge of criminal conspiracy, stealing, abuse of office and money laundering to the tune of twenty-nine billion naira.They are alleged to have committed the offences with the help of five companies, between 2011 and 2013.
The EFCC presented its fourth prosecution witness before the trial judge, Justice CHUKWU adjourned till 15th and 16th of March for continuation of trial.
