The Nigerian Communications Commission has slammed a fine of five point two billion dollars on telecommunications giant, MTN Nigeria.The NCC’s hammer fell on MTN Nigeria due to non-compliance with a deadline to disconnect all non-registered GSM Sim cards.
A report says the NCC had been accused by mobile phone users of failing to bring operators to account for poor services to subscribers.
Meanwhile; MTN Nigeria is yet to decide on the appropriate response to the action by the NCC, which was conveyed in a letter to the company.
