The National Pensions Commission has threatened to clampdown on companies and organizations that deduct pension contributions from workers but fail to remit same to their retired savings account. Director General of PENCOM, Mrs. Chinelo Anohu-Amazu issued the threat while briefing newsmen at the end of a meeting with President MOHAMMADU BUHARI at the state House in Abuja. Mrs. Chinelo Anohu-Amazu said the Commission has discovered that a lot of organisations refuse to remit pension funds after consistent deductions from workers’ salaries. The DG of PENCOM however said enforcement agents have been mobilized to go after defaulting organisations.
