The National Emergency Management Agency has identified failure to adhere to safety measures as the major factor responsible for the recent outbreak of fire disasters in Rivers State.The South-South Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, BENJAMIN OGHENAH suggested that the fire incidents in Port Harcourt and Tai to bush burning and storing of petrol at home.The NEMA Coordinator was speaking in an interview with our correspondent JUDITH OKAFOR at his office in Port Harcourt.OGHENAH said NEMA has continued to carry out programmes to sensitise the public on the risk of fire disaster this dry season.
He appealed to the public to always help with useful information when there is any fire incident.
