The main opposition leader in Myanmar, AUNG SAN SUU KYI, has won a seat in the parliamentary election, as her National League for Democracy cruises to a sweeping victory.Following the development; SUU KYI has requested meetings with the military-backed leadership next week to discuss national reconciliation. Although SUU KYI is constitutionally barred from becoming president, she has reportedly sent proposal letters to President THEIN SEIN, the commander of the armed forces and the parliamentary speaker.
