The leadership of the Rivers People’s Congress has kicked against petitions by groups and individuals opposed to the nomination of the former governor, ROTIMI AMAECHI for appointment as a minister. Chairman of the Rivers People’s Congress, INNOCENT AJAELU said such petitions, including the one submitted by Senators from Rivers State, do not represent the position of majority of Rivers people.
AJAELU, who spoke with our correspondent on telephone, said ROTIMI AMAECHI is the only Rivers man that can connect the state to the Federal Government under the leadership of the All Progressives Congress. The leader of the Rivers People’s Congress questioned the contributions of the present crop of senators from Rivers State, describing them as voiceless senators.
