The Independent National Electoral Commission has set a deadline of 6th October for all transfer cases of voters in Kogi State.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has set a deadline of 6th October for all transfer cases of voters in Kogi State. INEC also fixed the deadline for similar cases from Bayelsa State on 20th October. The information was revealed in INEC’s daily bulletin obtained by newsmen in Abuja, ahead of the conduct of governorship election in Kogi and Bayelsa on 21st November and 5th December. The Commission said the register of voters would be certified and published not later than thirty days to the elections.

By the notice; INEC advised any voter who intends to transfer their registration to write to apply to the Resident Electoral Commissioners if the affected states. Such applications are to be written through the Electoral Officer of the local government area where the applicants reside.
