The Independent National Electoral Commission has officially released the results of re-run elections for one Federal Constituency and nine State Constituency seats in Rivers State.The opposition All Progressives Congress in the state has won only one House of Assembly seat so far, while the ruling People’s Democratic Party cleared eight House of Assembly seats and one Federal Constituency seat that was declared.
According to a statement signed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, ANIEDI IKOIWAK, BETTY APIAFI of the PDP won the seat for Abua-Odua-Ahoada-East Federal Constituency.The APC won the State Constituency seat for Opobo-Nkoro, while the PDP won in Ahoada-East Constituencies One and Two, Emohua Constituency, Obio-Akpor Constituencies One and Two, Omuna Constituency, and ONALGA Constituency One.
