18 Killed in Farmer-Herder Clash in Niger State

The Niger State Police Command has confirmed that 18 people were killed following a violent clash between farmers and herders in communities within Rafi Local Government Area of the state.

Police authorities said the violence erupted during a confrontation between the two groups, resulting in multiple fatalities and heightened tension across the affected communities. Security personnel have since been deployed to the area to restore peace and prevent further violence.

The command said efforts are ongoing to investigate the incident and bring those responsible to justice, while urging residents to remain calm and avoid taking the law into their own hands.
