The Federal Executive Council met yesterday and approved thirty-four strategic priority projects that will be implemented through the 2016 Budget.The projects are grouped into four categories; covering security and governance, diversification of economy, succour for vulnerable‎ Nigerians and investments.The Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, ZAINAB AHMED, told State House Correspondents that the priority projects were contained in a document presented to Vice-President YEMI OSINBAJO, who presided over the council meeting.
The priority projects were contained in a document presented by the Ministry of Budget and National Planning to the Council presided over by Vice-President YEMI OSINBAJO.The Minister also said the Federal Executive Council was expecting the National Assembly will return the final copy of the 2016 Budget to President MUHAMMADU BUHARI for his assent before the week runs out.
