The APC claims that a cult group whose leader was targeted in a recent raid by security operatives in ONELGA is behind the alleged the plot, and is working in conjunction with its main political rivals in the state.State Chairman of the APC, Chief DAVIES IBIAMU IKANYA raised the alarm in a statement obtained by our correspondent.He alleged that the plot to eliminate APC members in ONELGA was sealed at a meeting by the cult group with some rival politicians last night.The APC Chairman claims that the groups resolved to target APC chieftains from ONELGA wherever they reside, whether within the local government area, the state or anywhere else within the country.Chief IKANYA also used the opportunity to once again clarify that his party had nothing to do with the wave of security raids on suspected black spots across Rivers State.He said it appeared that the cult group had drawn a battle line with supporters of the APC and agencies of the Federal Government agencies, including security agencies.The APC leadership in Rivers State therefore called on relevant authorities to take the threat on the life of its members of ONELGA origin and elsewhere very seriously and do the needful to protect the lives and properties of everyone within and outside of the local government area.
