The Senate has confirmed Joash Amupitan as the new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Amupitan’s confirmation followed an extensive screening session that lasted over two hours on the floor of the Senate on Thursday. During the exercise, lawmakers questioned him on his plans to restore public confidence in Nigeria’s electoral process and
