Somto Isaac, fondly known as SOMTEE, is a refined sports broadcast journalist, sports analyst, commentator, writer, and media communications professional whose passion, expertise, and energetic on-air personality have made him one of the most recognizable voices in sports broadcasting and one of the emerging voices of sports broadcasting in Rivers State and Nigeria.

Renowned for his distinctive voice, sharp analysis, and spontaneous delivery, Somto brings excitement, insight, and authenticity to every broadcast. His ability to seamlessly transition both English and Pidgin, makes him effortlessly connect with diverse audiences, making complex sporting conversations engaging and accessible to listeners across different demographics.

A graduate of Computer Science from the University of Port Harcourt, Somto has built an outstanding career that proves excellence is driven by passion as much as academic background. With nearly a decade of experience in sports broadcasting and journalism, he has established himself as one of Rivers State’s leading sports media personalities.

His broadcasting journey gained significant momentum during his time with the Sports Unit of Megaletrics Limited, contributing to respected radio brands including Naija FM, Beat FM, and Classic FM. Before then, he demonstrated exceptional leadership as Head of the Sports Unit at Unique FM, the University of Port Harcourt’s campus radio station, where he honed his skills in sports presentation as well as mentoring fellow students.

Beyond radio, Somto is a versatile event host, compere, master of ceremonies (MC), voice-over artist, and communications strategist. His compelling voice and storytelling ability have made him a sought-after talent for live events, commercials, and multimedia productions. He also has extensive experience in event planning and management, successfully coordinating and managing events over the years.

As a communications professional, Somto specializes in media relations, strategic communication, and sports communications. His expertise earned him the role of Communications and Information Director at Gebahs Football Ltd.

Also an avid esports commentator (caster) and lifelong football enthusiast, Somto’s passion for sports extends beyond the microphone. His love for football and video gaming reflects in his hobbies of playing football and gaming too.
