Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has visited the Festac-Alakija Bridge for an on-the-spot assessment of sections of the structure reportedly damaged by suspected vandals.
The governor inspected the affected portions of the bridge and assured Lagos residents that the government was taking steps to address the damage and ensure the safety of motorists and other road users.
Sanwo-Olu said the safety of residents remains a priority, stressing that the authorities would work to prevent further damage to critical infrastructure.
The visit follows concerns over the condition of some sections of the bridge, with the state government expected to take appropriate measures to secure and restore the affected areas.
