Sanitation Volunteers Commend Fubara on Waste Management Efforts

The Sanitation Marshal Volunteers have commended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and the Rivers State Waste Management Agency for their environmental policies and efforts aimed at improving waste management across Port Harcourt.

Coordinator of the group, Prince Sodin Akiagba, said the government’s commitment has contributed to creating a cleaner, greener and healthier environment within the metropolis.

He also noted that the group’s public awareness and sensitisation campaign against indiscriminate dumping of refuse along the road median at Iwofe and Rumuolumeni has begun yielding positive results.

According to him, the initiative should be extended to other communities within and outside Port Harcourt as part of a broader sanitation advocacy programme.
