Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq was on target for Valencia, but his effort was not enough as the Spanish side suffered a 3-1 defeat to Deportivo La Coruña in their La Liga encounter.
Sadiq scored Valencia’s only goal after Deportivo had established a two-goal advantage.
Deportivo had taken control of the match early and extended their lead before Sadiq pulled one back for Valencia. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang later restored Deportivo’s two-goal advantage to seal the victory.
The defeat leaves Valencia still searching for their first league win of the season, while Deportivo remain unbeaten after the opening three matches.
