Speaking in an interview with Today FM, the residents said there have been complaints of bag-snatching and armed robbery perpetrated by unidentified tricycle riders.
Despite concerns that the restricted operation of the vehicles would affect the movement of residents in the area, the respondents gave positive reactions concerning the time restriction.
Rumuekini community had, in August, announced a ban on the operations of tricycles, popularly known as Keke, from 7pm to 7am for security reasons.
