Level of cooking gas in Nigeria not enough – PETROAN

The state Chairman of PETROAN, Francis Dimkpa raised the concern in an interview with Today FM’s Ifunanya Obeme-Ndukwe, where he also noted that the regulatory frame work for the dispensing of gas in the country, especially in the South South is very tight.

Dimkpa said retailers find it difficult to expand their gas plant, creating a room for scarcity, adding that the scarcity and the non-availability of retail outlets have contributed to the increase in the price of cooking gas.

Francis also said the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas is not dispensing gas to the number of offtakers that the Federal Government has approved.

PETROAN called on the federal government to review the regulatory measures and give product through NLNG to people who have offtake permit.
