The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) has met with members of Civil Society Organisations ahead of the August 30 local government elections.
Chairman of RSIEC, Dr. Michael Odey, assured that the commission is fully prepared to conduct a credible poll and urged civil society groups to sensitise voters on exercising their franchise.
He called on all stakeholders to support the commission’s efforts to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections, adding that both sensitive and non-sensitive materials have already been secured for the exercise.
