Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE, is still blaming his predecessor, ROTIMI AMAECHI, for crisis that led to the prolonged closure of the judiciary, more than five months into the PDP administration.Governor WIKE has also announced plans for the commencement of renovation of courts across Rivers State, as part of his reform agenda for the judiciary.
The governor stressed the need for public officials to uphold their oath of office and for professionals in the legal field to reflect on the challenges facing the sector.
Governor WIKE, who made the call while declaring open the 2015-2016 Legal Year, said a judicial system that is suffering from unethical activities spells doom for democracy.
Governor WIKE also stressed the need for judicial officers to ensure speedy dispensation of justice.
