Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE, has secured the approval of the House of Assembly to borrow additional ten billion naira, contrary to the denial by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in the state. The confirmation was made by the Leader of the Rivres State House of Assembly, MARTINS AMAEHULE, about twenty-four hours after the All Progressives Congress raised an alarm over the move for a fresh bank loan. MARTINS AMAEWHULE said the loan approval was not done in secret as the APC had alleged. The House Leader told our correspondent that the state lawmakers did not sit in Government House to approve the ten billion naira loan.  MARTINS AMAEWHULE said the loan was approved for Governor WIKE to enable the state government complete ongoing projects. The latest ten billion naira approval adds to a total of forty billion naira bank loans obtained by Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE within six months in office.
